Over the weekend, Cornwall Council worked alongside local suppliers and volunteer groups to distribute the first food boxes to the 252 residents who are living alone, with no immediate family nearby, and are on the Government’s shielded list.

Alongside the supplies, they were also given a phone number so that they can provide the Council with more information on things like their dietary requirements and their pharmaceutical needs, allowing volunteers from Volunteer Cornwall to make sure they have the right food and medication to stay safe and well.
