Marazion is a great place for kids
Our soft, sandy beach will keep your kids amused for hours, but there are plenty of other things to do to keep them entertained.
A clean, safe play park can be found on the Folly Field (no dogs allowed) with several pieces of climbing equipment, swings, etc., to keep children occupied. And, if you are staying at the top end of the town, another play park is situated on the football field.
The Folly Field is also a great place to kick around a football, play ball games or even fly a kite. On a warm day, Red River is good for paddling as the fresh water flows towards the sea – this can be found to the west of the main Folly Field car park. The kids might also want to explore the sand dunes that protect Marazion Marsh from the sea – but please keep to the paths.
Now, for our best-kept secret. We don’t just have one beach. A second, stonier beach is home to lots of rock pools, where children can see some of the aquatic creatures that live in the bay. You can access this beach from Leys Lane. But please don’t tell anyone about it.
