Marazion Town Council

Marazion Town Council is an elected local authority. It is the first tier of local government and plays a vital role in engaging with the people of Marazion and helping shape their community. The Council has a variety of powers and duties vested in it through Acts of Parliment.

Full council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month and on the fourth Tuesday of the month (except December). Members of the public may attend all meetings. There are 15 minutes at the beginning of the meeting where the public may participate and speak. The Council encourage members of the community to attend these meetings in order that they can hear views directly to ensure they do their best to meet real needs.

With effect from Tuesday 18th May 2021, we will return to face-to-face meetings in All Saints Church Hall for at least six months. The legislation to continue with virtual meetings was not extended beyond the 7th May 2021.

Anyone wishing to attend will be asked to wear a mask, hand sanitiser will be freely available and all will be expected to sign into Track and Trace.

Councillors will be socially distancing and the room will be set up so as to keep distancing between members of the public and Councillors.

There will also be a one way system in place.

The agendas for meetings are posted on this page as well as on the Town Hall notice board prior to the meetings.

Minutes of meetings are also available at Cobble Corner as well as being posted to this website. Delegated decisions taken during the onset of the Coronavirus crisis in early 2020 are also available here.
