|Marazion Town Council||DL had received a letter of thanks for the Christmas meal from a lady on Godolphin Terrace.
The playgrounds remain closed.
|MzCSG||MK said he had shopping to do for 1 person, but otherwise nothing to report.||
|Marazion Surgery||JB said all Doctors and staff at the surgery had been vaccinated.
All staff are lateral flow tested twice a week.
All over 80’s and care home residents in Mz area have been vaccinated. (A couple were missed because they were in hospital, but will be jabbed ASAP. Over 75’s will be called next and housebound will be visited at home for jabs.
There will be vaccination clinics next Fri, Sat Sun.
Vaccine is allocated to surgeries according to numbers registered in the practice. The surgery can only administer jabs using the available vaccine as and when it was available.
NHS is also calling people to Stithians.
Patients are still chasing vaccines, but everybody will be called when it’s their turn.
Everybody has been very grateful with only 2 persons declining so far.
PE asked what will happen to the programme of 1st stage injections when it is necessary to do 2nd stage jabs to those already vaccinated in 12 weeks time? JB said that would be a challenge and would slow the rate of first time jabs being administered..
WC asked how long after injection would the vaccine be effective? JB said 2 to 3 weeks after the second jab.
GR asked whether patients were being notified by phone or letter? JB said phone first with follow up letter.
|Marazion Churches||PB – Nothing to report however he had received feedback on vaccinations saying how wonderful the vaccinations had been organised and how delighted people were to receive the vaccine.
JG nothing new to report.
|Marazion School||JR said she was pleased the Government had published a road map saying schools would remain closed until at least 8th March.
All staff are being lateral flow tested twice weekly.
The National school meals Voucher scheme is now in place.
Children attending school get a meal.
Numbers of children in school are slightly up.
|Chamber of Commerce||PE thanked MK for the Guardian article on reliable anal swab testing for covid in China and hoped that would be a last resort…
GR reported that Philps had closed due to lack of footfall. May re open on specific days of the week yet to be decided.
Cobble Corner and Trevenner Rd stores continue with reduced hours.
|AOB||DL thought we should put something out on FB to let volunteers and public know we’re still meeting and available to assist.
DL will liaise with PE.
